Publishing Definitions
Independent (Self-Publishing): The author is their own publisher and is responsible for all aspects of the publishing process, including editing, design, and distribution. Indie authors typically hire professionals for tasks that traditional publishers complete in house.
Traditional: A selective publisher takes responsibility for the publishing process. Authors may work with a literary agent, who represents the author during the submission and negotiation process. This includes publication with the Big Five publishers and small presses.
We do not allow the endorsement of vanity presses of any kind. Please report any such endorsements. Refer to Writer Beware®️ before working with any industry company or professional.
