We value diversity and encourage open-mindedness. Treat all members with respect, kindness, and empathy. We will not tolerate discrimination, hate speech, harassment, or any form of bullying.
No plagiarism. #
Do not plagiarize or infringe on the intellectual property of others. Please report plagiarism immediately.
No spam. #
Avoid spam, irrelevant posts, or excessive self-promotion. Yes, we want to hear about your book release. Just not ten times a day.
Report violations. #
We provide moderation tools for reporting inappropriate content, behavior, or groups. If you encounter any violations of these guidelines, please report them.
One account. #
Do not create multiple accounts, and don’t impersonate anyone else.
Groups #
Inkbury groups are run by individual members, and each has its own set of rules and expectations. All groups must abide by these rules.
- Lead with kindness: Group organizers are responsible for maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment within their groups.
- No group fees: Organizers are not permitted to charge any kind of membership fee or request financial contributions from group members.
- No promotion: With the exception of Author Fan Clubs, groups should not be created for the purpose of promoting products or services.
Events #
Inkbury’s primary purpose is helping writers and readers connect locally. Please use your best judgment when attending events hosted by groups or individuals.
- Public venues: Events should take place in public spaces.
- Stay healthy: Follow any local or venue-specific health guidelines or restrictions related to COVID-19.
Forums #
The Inkbury forums are a great place to connect with readers and writers. Please keep these rules in mind when posting.
- Keep spam in the can: Do not spam the forums with advertisements or promotional content. Excessive self-promotion is discouraged.
- Don’t overshare: Respect the privacy of others and refrain from sharing personal information in public forums. Remember that even private forums are visible to anyone with a free Inkbury account.
- Follow the rules: Some forums may have specific rules or guidelines. Be sure to follow them.
